Name Change

If your name is incorrect on your ticket, American Airlines' name change policy allows specific name corrections. Here are the details-

American Airlines allows minor name corrections on tickets issued under (001) validation. These corrections apply to both American Airlines and American Eagle flights. However, your date of birth and gender must remain unchanged.

For major name corrections, a new booking (PNR) is required if your ticket includes codeshare flights or 'R' inventory. The correction is only valid for tickets that start with (001) validation. Your date of birth and gender must remain the same.

• No fees apply for either minor or major name corrections.
• Name changes cannot be made within 24 hours of departure.
• Flight date modifications are not permitted under the name change policy.
